Ten ways how not to think negative

I am sure, you all must have gone through phases, which are not positive at all. When its down time for me, I know, I have to think positive. Everyone tells me to think positive, but then its difficult to think positive in such state.

I thought, and thought and concluded that rather I  would try not to think negative, and not to think anything. Be blank, perhaps that would be easier. Hence  I tried searching " how not to think negative" , and come up with the below list which i would like to share with you all. Against each point, I have also mentioned my thoughts & opinions . These are my personal thoughts and opinions. You may or may not agree to them, But I am sure, the ten points written here below will help all of you.

  1. Exercise  
    • (I am still planning to exercise since last ...don't know how many years. Believe me its very difficult for me. Still can try, after all everyone suggest this.)
  2. Remove negative people or situations from your life 
    • (I need to go to Himalayas for that)
  3. Surround yourself with happy people, situations and things. 
    • (Yes, i love colors and it gives me lot of positivism, so i am trying to think about colors more often.)
  4. Positive self talk 
    • (I love talking to myself, I am my best friend... But sometimes I take myself so granted that i don't listen to myself at all) 
  5. Indulge in hobbies
    • (Yes, till i am indulged in it, i don't think anything negative but as soon as i come out of it i again get surrounded by all negativity)
  6. Think so much positive that negativity dilutes. 
    • (I don't agree fully to it. Its more like hiding negativity behind positive facade, rather than removing negativity)
  7. Remove the negative words from your dictionary like I  DON'T WANT TO HURT MYSELF.. rather say, i want myself happy. 
    • (This helps a little Yes.. it does help... LOL and the name of this article is how NOT to think negative)
  8. Try to think only those thoughts which  you can speak in front of all people. this way you will be able to stop many negative and stupid thoughts. 
    • (Yes, perhaps this may work)
  9. Choose Happy or Miserable life and then decide what to think. 
    • (Thinking is so spontaneous.. decide to think.. my gosh too much work)
  10. ACT - Just dont keep thinking. Act in a positive manner and this action will help you in removing your negative thoughts. Also Let Go of all negative thoughts, with positive action in your life. 
    • (Ok this makes some sense to me. let's try.)

Success is a very relative term. We all define success as per ourselves. This post is about my idea of success. Yes, there may be lot of things, which I may not have achieved, there may still be lot of improvement areas in my life. Still I want to believe myself as successful.

In Dino Kuch Kam Kam Lagne Laga Hai - The Poem


इन दिनों कुछ कम कम लगने लगा है !

इक दरवाज़ा था जो कभी कभी बोलता था 
उसे भी तेल लगा का चुप कर दिया है 
इक सोफा था,  जिसपर बैठने से कुछ मज़ेदार आवाजें सुनाई देती थी 
वोह भी किसी कबाड़ी की दूकान में सजा दिया है 
इक छिपकली आया करती थी, 
जिसे मच्छरों के पीछे दौड़ता देख कुछ समय गुज़र जाता था 
अब मच्छरों को धुएं से ही भगा देते हैं 
इन दिनों कुछ कम कम लगने लगा है !


इक आइना था जिस पर पड़ी दरार से 
हमें अपने ही दो अक्स दिखाई देते थे 
उसे भी किसी ने बदल दिया है 
वोह जो कुछ जोड़ी जूतों से लोगों के होने का एहसास होता था 
उन जूतों को इक अलमारी में बंद कर दिया है 
इन दिनों  कुछ कम कम लगने लगा है  !


कभी कभी हम खुद से ही बातें कर लेते थे 
अब तो हम अपनी ही बातों से बोर हो गए हैं 
इक डायरी के कुछ पन्नों पर कुछ कुछ  लिखा करते थे 
उस कलम की स्याही भी अब सूख चुकी है 
गाने के कुछ रिकॉर्ड संजो के रखे थे 
उन पर भी उम्र की धुल बैठ चुकी है 
इन दिनों कुछ कम कम लगने लगा है  

फिर भी ज़िन्दगी  को उम्मीद की धूप से निखार रहे हैं 
फिर भी दिल के कोनों में हरे पौधे सी खुशियाँ सींच  रहे हैं 
इन दिनों कुछ कम कम लगने लगा है 
फिर भी कुछ ज्यादा ज्यादा चाहने लगे है

Today I read a book, written by Arindam Choudhary. I really like his writing style. He has written it in such an easy manner, that anyone will be able to understand the basic principles of life.  He has mentioned 9 Ps which are necessary to discover the diamond in you. Below listed are the nine Ps.

Life in the old age home

Today I went to the old age home along with my family. Our family generally go to the old age home occasionally to distributed some eatables, and spend time with them. We met them, sang few devotional songs and spend some time, tried spreading happiness in their lives. Everything looked good. All the members of the old age home, seemed happy. But somehow, I know they are not happy at the core of their heart.  The pain, hurt, depression of these old people staying in that old age home rub over me, every time i visit them.

Every time we go there life seems less glamorous to me. If I am going to be dependent on people like this during the later years of my life, then i don't want to live up till that time. Can I take my own life? No! I will never take my own life. Its completely against my principles as of now.
